Find A Felt Sense Of Safety

Truth talk? Nutrition can’t solve the serious problems facing our world.

What it can do is help you cope with those stressors. I use a science-forward approach to nutrition to help target mental health and GI symptoms and get people regulated and back in their bodies.

What’s Holding You Back
From Showing Up As You?

These are the things that keep us from living as fully as we could.

When you’re struggling to just get out of bed, it’s hard to show up for friends and family, and even more critically, yourself.

Going after your best life shouldn’t be held hostage to making sure a bathroom is in the immediate vicinity.

It’s time to feel like yourself again.

We’ll work together to discover an approach that works specifically for you, is effective, and yet easy to manage.

The Work

People frequently ask, "What should I do for anxiety?" The most truthful answer is I don't know yet, because I don't know you. Each person's circumstances are so unique, their biology shaped by thousands of factors, that it is hard to come up with a generalized protocol for anxiety.

That's why I use a personalized approach to nutrition. I need to understand what is going on in your body and what you can implement in your life by taking into account your goals, dreams, and preferences.

Nutrition requires nuance, which is why I prefer a 1:1 approach, where we can work together to get you feeling confident so you know how to support your body.

Figs Protocol For Mental Health & Trauma

Although every intervention is customized to you, I use the figs assessment protocol to assist in determining your specific needs.

I developed the FIGS protocol over several years of working with clients. I started to notice that most people coming to see me with mental health symptoms shared four common characteristics:

  • They weren’t eating the Foods that make chemicals for the body to feel good

  • They had systemic Inflammation that was making their body feel unsafe

  • They had Gut issues that were sending harmful messages to their brains, and

  • Their Stress hormones were out of whack, creating wear and tear on the body.

The FIGS Protocol, abbreviated from these four factors, has become central to how I work with clients with mental health symptoms and trauma. Together, we assess these four areas, determine which one (or more than one) might play a role, and then go after that specific factor. This system is a targeted, systematic approach to analyzing the root causes of anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, and more.

Swift Protocol for Gut Healing

Like the FIGS protocol for mental health, the swift gut protocol isn’t a list of interventions. instead, it’s a way of thinking about the root causes for gut conditions and symptoms. Although every intervention is customized to you, I use the figs assessment protocol to assist in determining your specific needs.

The origins of the SWIFT protocol were developed after my diagnosis with Crohn’s. I knew then the impact of stress on my gut symptoms; I just didn’t know what to do about it. Hence the SWIFT approach:

  • Symptom Relief: While working on a root cause approach, it is critical to see if we can lessen symptoms first to help you live a full life.

  • Welcome Digestive Competency: Let’s utilize food and supplements to help the cells in your gut communicate a message of safety and function.

  • Improve Inflammation: If the gut isn’t working well, it will send inflammatory messengers to the rest of the body, which will then create a feedback loop to tell the gut it isn’t safe. We’ll work to break this cycle by reducing the root causes of inflammation in your gut.

  • Feed the gut: You’d be surprised how often people aren’t eating the right foods to feed their gut - we’ll take a deep dive and see whether your gut is getting the right messages from the foods you eat.

  • Taper: The last step in any good protocol is to taper to the most effective, least invasive approaches so you can live your life normally with food.

Within any SWIFT protocol, we may intentionally use food, supplementation, testing, mind-body approaches, and biofeedback to help support your body.
